Roasted cabbage steaks are the perfect side dish for any meal and a tasty alternative to prepare fresh cabbage!

Ingredients

  • 1 small cabbage head
  • Olive oil (generous amount) about 1/3 cup
  • Minced garlic (I use about 2 tbs)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  2. Remove stem on cabbage and remove the outer layers.
  3. Cut cabbage into 1/2-inch slices and lay in a large baking dish.
  4. Brush cabbage steaks with olive oil generously, then add garlic, and salt/pepper.
  5. Roast in oven for 40 minutes or until desired tenderness.
