Method
- Preheat your oven to 375°F.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until it's almost browned. Add the diced onion and green bell pepper and continue cooking until the vegetables are tender and the beef is fully cooked. Drain any excess grease.
- Season the beef mixture with the onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Stir well to combine.
- Transfer the beef mixture to a large baking dish. Add the Bush's Baked Beans, brown sugar, cinnamon, and maple syrup. Stir until everything is evenly combined.
- Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes.
- Remove the foil and continue baking for an additional 20 minutes, or until the beans are hot, bubbly, and slightly caramelized on top.
- Let the beans rest for 5–10 minutes before serving.
Notes
For a deeper barbecue flavor, mix in a splash of your favorite BBQ sauce.
