Ingredients

  • 1 pork tenderloin (1.5 lbs)
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil (more if needed)
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • ½ tsp salt

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  • Combine all spices in a bowl.
  • Pat tenderloin dry with a paper towel.
  • Rub spice mix over the pork tenderloin evenly, covering all sides.
  • Heat 2 tbsp of oil over medium high heat in a cast iron skillet. Then add in pork and sear for 4 minutes on each side.
  • Top with butter and Transfer the pan to the oven and bake uncovered for 25-30 minutes. Basting liquids halfway through.

Notes

Cook pork to an internal temperature of 145 degrees Fahrenheit with a three-minute rest.
