Jerk Chicken Pasta Recipe

This quick and easy pasta recipe is very similar to one of my favorite meals at Bahama Breeze and to my surprise it was easy to recreate! It is filled with a homemade alfredo sauce and spicy jerk seasoning.

If you’re in the mood for this island inspired dish, then this pasta is just for you. All you need are a few simple ingredients to create a meal the entire family will enjoy.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb thinly sliced chicken breast
  • 16 oz farfalle pasta
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 2 cups grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 stick unsalted butter
  • 3 tablespoons jerk seasoning (I used Spice King)
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 cup pasta water
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Prep pasta by bringing one pot of water to a boil. Cook pasta until al dente according to packaged instructions.
  2. Season both sides of the chicken breast with onion powder, garlic powder, pepper, 1 tablespoon jerk seasoning.
  3. Heat oil in a large pan over medium-high heat and cook chicken breast for 5 minutes on each side or until cooked all the way through. Remove chicken from pan and set aside.
  4. Reduce heat and melt one stick of butter in the same skillet. Add HWC and parmesan cheese. slowly stir until sauce starts to thicken. Add in pasta water and 2 tablespoons of jerk Seasoning and stir occasionally for about 2-3 minutes Add salt/pepper to taste.
  5. Add in cooked chicken and fresh mozzarella. Serve warm and enjoy.
