Flaky, nostalgic, and oh-so delicious!
Salmon Patties
Ingredients
- 2 x 14 oz. cans salmon
- 2 eggs
- 1/4 C Breadcrumbs
- 1/4 C All-purpose flour
- 1./2 yellow onion, finely chopped
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 4 tbsp cooking oil, for frying
Instructions
Drain the canned salmon well. Place it in a large bowl and flake it with a fork. Remove any large bones.
Add the eggs, breadcrumbs, flour, chopped onion, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper to the bowl.
Mix everything together until well combined. The mixture should hold together when pressed. If it feels too wet, add a tablespoon of breadcrumbs at a time.
Shape the mixture into patties, about 1/2-inch thick. You should get 6–8 patties depending on size.
Heat the cooking oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
Once hot, carefully add the patties to the pan without overcrowding.
Cook for 3–4 minutes per side, or until golden brown and crispy.
Transfer the cooked patties to a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil.
Serve warm.
